Yesterday, a developer at Cognizant has sent a question to the mailing list with the word URGENT in the Subject-line (which is by the way against the mailing list rules).
This developer wasn't subscribed to the list, and the mail was put on hold by the Mailman system. It was detected by the mailing list admin (me), but as the mail contained a standard footer saying "this mail is confidential", it wasn't approved. Not everyone understands the principle of a mailing list, and we want to avoid problems like the one described in the FAQ: http://support.itextpdf.com/node/72 Because the question was actually interesting, I decided to send a personal answer. Imagine my surprise when we received an autoreply saying: "Antivirus Security Appliance has detected a message which violated the security settings configured in Policy > Attachment Filter. The message was quarantined." Aaaaargh! If you wonder why it's not always easy to remain calm when answering questions, please watch this video to understand what happens if the rules aren't followed: http://lowagie.com/itextml ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All the data continuously generated in your IT infrastructure contains a definitive record of customers, application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes sense of it. IT sense. And common sense. http://p.sf.net/sfu/splunk-novd2d _______________________________________________ iText-questions mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/itext-questions iText(R) is a registered trademark of 1T3XT BVBA.
