PdfAnnotation extends PdfDictionary.
This means you can add keys and values at your heart's desire (provided
that they are in accordance with ISO-32000-1).
For instance: you can use the "Name" key to change the "pin" into
something else (for instance a paper clip).
But also:
The annotation dictionary’s AP entry, if present, shall take precedence
over the Name entry; see Table 168 and 12.5.5, “Appearance Streams.”
This is quoted from the PDF reference.
So if you add an appearance dictionary that replaces the pin by an
appearance that doesn't cover your image, you've solved your problem.
