Furthermore, as far as I understand the question, it's unrelated to iText.
It's not clear what you're trying to achieve, but the way I interpret 
it, is that you have a list of file paths, and that some files can't be 
reached after a file is renamed. I would call that "expected behavior".
If you have a list with a path to "C://temp/my.pdf" and you rename 
"my.pdf" to "your.pdf", I would assume that the original path to 
"my.pdf" is no longer valid.
