Hello,
I use Pdfcopy / PdfSmartcopy in order to split a PDF-File.
I also can confirm the problem from the following post:
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.java.lib.itext.general/61614/focus=61615
After splitting some pages (with one image on every page) into a new file,
the size of the new file is very large.
After analyzing the new file with itextrups i can confirm that the file
contains a lot of xobjects (from subtype "form"). Most of this xObjects
belongs to non "splitted" pages and are unnecessary in the new file.
Does there exist a function to remove this unecessary xobjects? - At this
moment I use ghostscript in order to shrink the file. This works fine but
is vey very slow for documents with thousend pages.....
Carsten
