I am new to iText and think the tool has lots of potential for many of my
clients. While getting there, I apologize for the questions that may seem
rudimentary, but I do have the book, and I try to do my due diligence on the
web before asking for help :)
I am able to get my Notes/Domino data from my DB into the PDF that I am
trying to create, and so far it works great. However, Notes/Domino has
fields which store "Rich Text", and in them could be anything...In this
particular case, the fields contain standard text, with additional
formatting applied, such as bold/underline/font size, etc...And on the
backend document, they are store as MIME, making them looking like HTML.
For example, here is what it may look like...
"Content-Type: text/html
<br />
<br />
<font size="3" face="serif">Hi Glenn</font><br />
<br />
<font size="3" face="serif">We need this to </font><font size="3"
face="serif"><u>get fixed</u></font><font size="3" face="serif">
</font><font size="3" face="serif">so that the PDF looks right.? Formatting
should match almost.</font><br />
<br />
<font size="3" face="serif">Barry Gold</font>"
Obviously, when my data is displayed in a browser, it looks fine (with the
formatting). Is there a way for me to take this data as it's stored, and
bring it across to the PDF and keep the formatting ? Currently, I've got
the field coming across as all my other fields do. But it would be awesome
if I could get the formatting as well ???
Thanks,
Glenn
