If I mark text in the pdf I generate using iText, copy it and paste it
somewhere else, I just see a row of boxes, like this:
I'm using a ttf font (CompatilFact LT RegularSC) and create it like this:
BaseFont.createFont("lightRegular.ttf", BaseFont.IDENTITY_H, BaseFont.EMBEDDED
);
I'm not very experienced with fonts and encoding so I guess for some reason it
uses a wrong encoding in the PDF? optically it looks fine (beside looking more
bold than it should be) - but i can't copy paste.
I'm not encrypting the document.
What could be the reason for this and how to solve it?
