Thanks for the response, I was beginning to think no one could help me with
this.

arxCoSignService.getSignatureOfDataBuffer returns a detached PKCS#7
signature as a byte array.

CoSign is a hardware appliance, from Algorithmic Research, that is installed
on our network. It includes all the PKI ingredients including the CA and the
repository of the user’s private signing keys. In order to sign a document,
the document's hash is sent to CoSign. It is then signed within the
appliance with the user’s private key.
