Thank you for the kind words! > For anyone interested, 5.4.0 has been announced and the PDF/UA is talked > about here: > > http://lowagie.com/itext540 yes, but keep in mind that we still have plenty of work to do. You may find this blog interesting too: http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/3X18II/duff-johnson.com/2013/02/14/warning-human-judgment-required-for-pdfua-conformance/ The following link gives you an overview of software products that already support or plan to support PDF/UA: http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/3X18II/duff-johnson.com/2013/02/14/warning-human-judgment-required-for-pdfua-conformance/ As you can see, we say we expect to be PDF/UA-ready in 13Q3. Why not 13Q1 if we've just released PDF/UA functionality? Because functionality is only one aspect, we also need to write comprehensive documentation on how to meet the PDF/UA standard. This includes R&D regarding the Matterhorn Protocol. We'll do our best to keep our promise regarding the documentation, but before we start writing about structured/unstructured PDF, we have a final iteration of the digital signatures documentation scheduled. Especially chapter 4 about architectures will change (because we now have an example explaining the new 'deferred signing' functionality) as well as chapter 5 because of the many reactions we received about LTV (including clarifications from Adobe on the meaning of the 'LTV-enabled' status in Adobe Reader). In any case: we love our job, and reading your words of appreciation is heart-warming! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Go Parallel Website, sponsored by Intel - in partnership with Geeknet, is your hub for all things parallel software development, from weekly thought leadership blogs to news, videos, case studies, tutorials, tech docs, whitepapers, evaluation guides, and opinion stories.
