As you say: it works on Mac, so there's no problem with iText. The 
problem must have an external cause.
Check if you're not ignoring an exception. For instance: you are 
creating an image from a specific path on Mac and that path doesn't 
exist on Windows. An error is thrown and if you don't show that error, 
you don't know anything went wrong, but the file is 0 bytes in size.
