It's as appropriate as your question to the iText mailing-list is 
appropriate.
You're using a fork of our software. Either you are doing this 
deliberately or not deliberately. If not deliberately, you and iText 
both don't have any reason to be happy. You don't have any reason to be 
happy because somebody introduced code that isn't to be trusted into 
your project. We have no reason to be happy because somebody is 
distributing an unofficial version of our software causing problems. 
(And already I sense that you think iText isn't good software, which 
would be a misconception.)

The best way we can help each other, is by finding out which instance is 
responsible and remove the cause of our mutual unhappiness by making 
them use an official version, NOT a fork.
