I used the xfa worker to flatten our file. What I got back was different than what I was expecting. While it is true that there does not appear to be any fields, they appear to still exist, and the file is still a LiveCycle form document. This can be verified by using forms->export data.
What I was expecting was a flat document that can be opened by any reader. In particular, we have a lot of users on iPads that can not open LiveCycle forms. After running through xfaworker (and all of the 5.4.4 support files), it still can't be opened.
