I show readline is available in the php53u-cli and php54-cli package: $ rpm -qp http://dl.iuscommunity.org/pub/ius/stable/Redhat/5/x86_64/php53u-cli-5.3.13-1.ius.el5.x86_64.rpm --provides | grep readline php53-readline php53u-readline $ rpm -qp http://dl.iuscommunity.org/pub/ius/stable/Redhat/5/x86_64/php54-cli-5.4.3-1.ius.el5.x86_64.rpm --provides | grep readline php-readline php54-readline ----- Can you please provide a 'rpm -qa | grep php' on your system, and also a 'rpm -q php53u-cli --provides' (assuming you are using php53u).
