The delay allowed us to finalize several usages specific to the new ICO sample HMI. We expect many vendors are developing their own HMI so perhaps this delay was unfortunate and unnecessary for those developers creating their own HMI or UI. I apologize for any inconvenience created as we focused on the specific usages of this sample HMI. I've asked that release notes be provided in the next few days. Since some developers may be used to the Weston Desktop shell that was the default UI for the Aug 29 release and they may find the new sample UI has unexpected consequences to their ongoing development, I've asked that the release notes include a section on how to remove the ICO HMI and revert to the Weston Desktop Shell you are used to from the Aug 29 release. Our next feature freeze date is Nov 22, with a target release of Dec 20. This will give us an extended period to stabilize new features and the overall release for an End of Year Milestone 2 (M2) 3.0 Tizen IVI release. There are many features in the queue, no doubt too many to complete them all by Nov 22. You can see what is in discussion, planning and development by searching in bugs.tizen.org for the "Tizen IVI" Project, Type: Feature, and "3.0 M2 EOY" as the "affects version".
