Hi Prathamesh, I used to run that version of VMware Player successfully but that was always on 64-bit host systems.
That error message may just be an indication that the system is up and running but the graphical environment is not. We're not starting a login prompt on the default tty Can you check if you get a login prompt on other tty (Ctrl-Alt-F2 or F3 or...) The first cause for graphics to fail is that 3D acceleration is not enabled for your VM. Can you check in the VM properties that the 'Accelerate 3D graphics' option (under 'Display') is checked?
