Hans, could you please have a look to http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/ivtv/devel/24561 ? Trying a 0.3.9 SVN version about two days ago, I still had to edit saa7127.c (and now also wm8775.c) in the way Leo described. I know that gcc-2.95 is pretty old, but a lot of people still use this.
