Hi,

I am seeing the same problems with this card on Fedora Core 4. So far I have found that this card provides an mpeg stream on /dev/video0 while v4l applications expect YUV. You have to tune the card with ivtv-tune and then use "mplayer /dev/video0" or another mpeg capable video player to watch TV.

However, I do not yet understand
- why mplayer does not use the mpeg decoder when called with tv://
- what /dev/video32 is good for

Please let me know if "mplayer /dev/video0" works for you, especially if it crashes from time to time as mine does.

I am CC'ing this to the -devel list and hope someone can provide more insight, I am also missing any documentation for the codes parameters audio, bitrate_mode, and the stream_type values.

Tom
