At this moment the saa7174 is not supported. However, after some googling I came across a Japanese site (http://linux.paken.org/index.php?CX23416GYC-STVLP%A4%CE%B2%F2%C0%CF) where there actually is a driver for the saa7174. This site apparently maintains a Asian copy of ivtv with extra support for Asian specific hardware. I'll contact them to see if it can be integrated into ivtv (and eventually into the kernel).
