Hi I am using my Adaptec AVC-2410 card and have found the following problems with ivtv-0.50:
I have found that svn-2849 has video and sound working, svn-2850 has video working, but no sound. I have not got as far as finding at what version the problem with a file size of zero occurs, although ivtv-2940 works (no sound) and ivtv-2945 does not. I will investigate further Best Regards Trev On Saturday 12 Nov 2005 17:10, you wrote: > Hi > > I downloaded svn version 2945 and am getting a zero sized file from > > cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg. > > I am using the following parameters > > modprobe tuner ignore=0,0x6b > modprobe ivtv ivtv_std=2 > sleep 1 > ivtvctl -q0 > ivtvctl -p4 > modprobe lirc_i2c > sleep 1 > lircd -d /dev/lirc0 --permission=666 > > I am then using ptune-ui.pl to set the channel. > > I will try some of the earlier versions to find at what point it stops > working, I just thought I should send an email to let you know I have a > problem. 2836 is the last version I had run before this (worked ok). > > The dmesg log is below. > > Best Regards > > Trev > > tuner: Ignoring new-style parameters in presence of obsolete ones > Linux video capture interface: v1.00 > tveeprom: Ignoring new-style parameters in presence of obsolete ones > ivtv: ==================== START INIT IVTV ==================== > ivtv: version 0.5.1 (development revision 2944) loading > ivtv: Linux version: 2.6.8.1-12mdk 686 gcc-3.4 > ivtv: In case of problems please include the debug info between > ivtv: the START INIT IVTV and END INIT IVTV lines, along with > ivtv: any module options, when mailing the ivtv-users mailinglist. > ivtv0: Autodetected Adaptec VIDEOH!
