Ticket #59 (http://ivtvdriver.org/trac/ticket/59) might be an
interesting project for someone who is interested in adding subtitle
support for ivtv in MythTV, mplayer and xine. It is something I've
always had in mind but I simply don't have the time for it. The impact
on the driver is limited, and I'm willing to help with that.
50% of the work is to figure out which standards (if any) are supported
by the main mpeg players and which standard is a good choice to
implement initially in the driver. So even if you are not willing/able
to work on the driver it would save a lot of time if this preliminary
research could be done. Then it is just a matter of a rainy Sunday to
implement it :-)
