-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi,
I have a Hauppauge PVR-350 and a HVR-1100. The pvr-350 works correctly with the ivtv 0.4.0 driver, and the hvr-1100 works with the cvs version of the linux-dvb. I want to use them in the same machine with both drivers loaded. The following problems are existing: - - The ivtv driver 0.4.x driver version has conflict on tveeprom.ko, only either the ivtv version or the linux-dvb version can be loaded. So the ivtv 0.4.x driver version is not suitable for me, because I need the linux-dvb CVS version for the hvr-1100 card. - - The ivtv driver version 0.5.1 is using the video4linux CVS version, so the hvr-1100 will not work, but I cannot install the ivtv driver itself also, because it says the following message: - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ivtv: disagrees about version of symbol tveeprom_hauppauge_analog ivtv: Unknown symbol tveeprom_hauppauge_analog - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- - - The ivtv svn trunk version is using the linux-dvb CVS so it would be the solution for me. The problem is that the ivtv driver is saying the same 'version of symbol' message upon loading. Both card is working correctly with its own driver, if I unload all the v4l drivers and delete the media and ivtv kernel module directories before installing them. If I saying modprobe -f upon the ivtv driver load, than only the 'Unknow symbol tveeprom_hauppaue_analog' message appears and the ivtvt driver doesn't initialize itself. I tried to load the necessary modules from the right place with insmod too, but the result is the same. Any ideas ? Something wrong with the 0.5.xx branch ? I should wait for the fix ? Thanks for the ivtv driver and for the world of PVR under Linux ! - -- Csaba Paradi Ruby Co. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFDqbOwe4buY9quE2URApL0AKC4DybXpcVH5qp0x+aUlCcs5FNbkQCfRzdO Z9wU6GAg4NHSUaHifV/9oSs= =T+69 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ ivtv-devel mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-devel
