I have this issue at 0.4.1 (svn 2816) that I reported 11/20/2005
(ivtv-devel vol3, issue 52). It was a very common occurrence when
running with hyperthreading enabled and using a SMP kernel. Only a
reboot would clear the problem - it was not possible to rmmod ivtv.

Hans speculated that this was a SMP related problem. I disabled HT and
had no subsequent problems, which I reported on 12/5. I never saw any
indication of a fix being made for a SMP problem, so I'm still running
without HT.
