Got a signal booster, and overall picture quality is fine. The odd thing
is having the same wavy signal pattern on composite and tuner based capture.
Are you by chance using some type of dynamic fan control on your CPU or case fans? A friend of mine had this identical problem and as soon as he disabled the dynamic speed control on his CPU fan the wavy patterns disappeared. Of course, now his CPU fan is always spinning full throttle and sounds like a 747 taking off, but that's another issue. I should mention that he has only a single PVR-500 in his system so he didn't have another card to compare it with but he saw that wavy signal pattern on all recordings from the 500 when dynamic fan control was enabled.
