Hi, (Forgive me - everything I know about ivtv I learned this afternoon.)
I have a MythTV box with an Adaptec AVC-2010 VideOh! MPEG2 capture card, it's worked fine for several months. After upgrading to 0.6.2 (from the 0.4 series) I can no longer record anything, I get an error "Error setting codec params" and "VIDIOC_S_CTRL failed: Invalid argument" when it tries to set up record. I looked into MythTV's mpegrecorder.cpp and found the call is trying to set V4L2_CID_AUDIO_VOLUME to some number at that point. Now, when I do a "ivtvctl -a" it does show the audio Line Input but mentions nothing about "Volume" under VIDIOC_QUERYCTRL which google tells me other people can see with other cards. Does that mean this card doesn't have onboard audio mixer (only one input anyway) and MythTV is wrong to be executing this call, or is ivtv incorrectly assuming it has that capability? Also: "ivtvctl -y volume=xx" works for values up to 12 but gives same "Invalid argument" errors for values over 12. Thanks for any advice. -Adam _______________________________________________ ivtv-devel mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-devel
