Hans, you were correct, new firmware (which I thought I had grabbed) fixed the issue. The first 10 or 20 seconds or initial use the audio was extremely sharp (nearly tinny)...but it seems to have settled down now and sounds correct.
(I would have resonded to your suggestion, but I signed up for this list as Digest, so to avoid a new thread, I had to respond to my own post...sorry) Todd ----- Original Message ----- From: Todd To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, June 29, 2006 8:12 PM Subject: Tinny recordings with 0.7 - PVR150 So, I just compiled 2.6.17.1 with ivtv from: http://ivtvdriver.org/viewcvs/ivtv/branches/0.7.tar.gz?view=tar Unless I issue: ivtvctl -c stream_type=10 ...Everything is tinny in a bad way. It seems people have had this problem in the past, I don't see how people fixed it. It works fine with my old 2.6.15.1 kernel and the exact same firmware. I took my old .config and did a "make oldconfig" so 99% of the config is from a known working file. I have used different recording profiles in MythTV (ts, ps, dvd, etc)...and I seem to always get the same results. Does anyone know how to fix this?...or is this possibly a bug in this version of 0.7? Thanks in advance, Todd I am using... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ii mythtv-backend 0.19-0.7 A personal video recorder application (serve ii mythtv-common 0.19-0.7 A personal video recorder
