Sorry this took so long. It's been busy lately... I removed my patch, rebooted and turned off hyperthreading in the bios. It gets a couple more lines outputed before crashing but the result is the same. Without my patch it always crashes as it is loading or shortly is had loaded the 2nd firmware file. With my patch in place which pauses slightly after the successful loading of a firmware it always works flawlessly. >From my debug log during the Jul 18 14:29:31 vortex kernel: Linux video capture interface: v1.00 Jul 18 14:29:31 vortex kernel: ivtv: ==================== START INIT IVTV ==================== Jul 18 14:29:31 vortex kernel: ivtv: version 0.7.0 (tagged release) loading Jul 18 14:29:31 vortex kernel: ivtv: Linux version: 2.6.17-rh3 SMP preempt mod_unload PENTIUM4 gcc-3.4 Jul 18 14:29:31 vortex kernel: ivtv: In case of problems please include the debug info between Jul 18 14:29:31 vortex kernel: ivtv: the START INIT IVTV and END INIT IVTV lines, along with Jul 18 14:29:31 vortex kernel: ivtv: any module options, when mailing the ivtv-users mailinglist.
