I have several Adaptec AVC-2410 cards that I acquired at
inexpensively.

I was able to get them working fairly easily by reading
  http://ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Adaptec_AVC-2410

Thanks Trev, for creating and maintaining this page.

Thanks to the ivtv team! It is impressive that an uncommon card works
so easily.

In fact, in my environment (NTSC, Fedora Core 5 + ATRPMS, following
Jarod's guide), with already-installed Hauppauge PVR cards, adding the
AVC-2410 cards required only the addition of one line to my
/etc/modprobe.conf:

  options tuner ignore=-1,0x6b

Trev's web page explains why this is necessary and why it doesn't
damage support for the Hauppauge cards. Even the Hauppauge firmware
seems to work for the AVC-2410s.

Is there any clean mechanism to build knowledge into IVTV so that the
option command isn't needed?
