To be honest, I've no idea what is wrong. I still suspect you have
something wrong in your environment. I could run ivtvctl --reset-ir for
kernels 2.6.19, 20 and 21 without any error messages.
One option is to setup an ssh account for me so that I can log in.
BTW, we are talking about a PVR card with a IR-blaster, right?
