Can anyone tell me what the situation is with this? Is there a version of v4l that doesn't cause the weird sound issues? It seems like if my system is fairly up to date (and it is), I should be able to just remove v4l and be okay? I'm not even sure what point I installed it so I don't know the reason I did so. Is there any obvious reason I would need it for a system with a couple PVR-350s and an older NVidia GeForce?
