With the new driver code it is no longer possible to change inputs or open the radio device if a capture is in progress. (EBUSY is returned as an error). For the vdr pvrinput plugin this will require some changes, because it only pauses and resumes the encoder on every channel switch. Other apllications may already use encoder stop/start and/or close/reopen the device, or do nothing.
