Hans: I had a chance to test the S-Video and Composite inputs and they work fine. Great picture, sound works.
I'll teach myself how to test the radio soon. However, I'm starting to think that I may have damaged the card after it was in the Windows machine. When I tested the S-Video by using my VCR, whenever I plugged in the card's antenna jack to my VCR's "tv-out" jack, the picture on the VCR's composite output would become fuzzy - like the antenna connector on the capture card was injecting noise into the cable line. Perhaps this IS a hardware issue after all... I'll try the card back in an XP box tomorrow, just to be sure. Thanks! Andrew I didn't CC the list last time I sent this information: The patch did some good, but we're not at 100% working yet: The machine comes up, /dev/video0 is there and I get video+audio from it, but it's still not tuning correctly. I manually switch to ntsc-m with v4l2-ctl, then use ivtv-tune to set to channels specifying us-cable freq tables. When I tell it to switch channels, the tuner seems to switch something and get pretty close - I can see the correct channel obscured by static, sometimes with color, sometimes without. I'll try the composite input later tonight. Thanks again!
