Those reset codes are board-specific. You may try to get this from your windows driver, by seeking what codes it is sending to the device. With USB devices, there are some tools, like usbsnoop, that allows seeing what's going through the bus.
For PCI devices, this is harder. For cx88, bttv and saa7134 devices, you may use a tool, caller regspy.exe, that is part of Dscaler code. I dunno if this tool works also with ivtv devices. Another possibility is to run the driver inside a VM. There are some tools for retrieving data on some vm tools.
