There have been several reports that different cards often have different
audio volumes, although they are set to the same audio level value.

In a system with more than one PVR card this is annoying for the user. The
driver sets for all cards the default value, and in most cases the
application cannot handle different settings for each card.

Is there a way to detect/predict, if a certain card will have a low or high
audio volume? Is a PVR150 in generally lower than a PVR350 or PVR250? (Maybe
because of the cx25840 ?)

Or does it only depend on the tuner type? Are there any tuners known to have a
low audio volume?

Is the lower audio volume necessary to avoid distortion? In this case the
right strategy would be not to increase the volume of those card, but to
lower down the volume of the other card.

Greets,
Martin
