Mark,
I had the same problem. Here is a quote and the link to what
fixes it. I am also looking for a list of the registers and what they
do. Hue, Position, Sharpness???
"Okay, it's time to step it up a bit. I wandered off the the
#mythtv-users IRC channel. After I explained the offcenter problem along
with the odd colors, someone suggested typing these two commands:
ivtvctl -j reg=0x6c,val=0xfa -d /dev/video16
ivtvctl -j reg=0x2d,val=0x38 -d /dev/video16
Holy mud, it worked. What I soon discovered is that I had a new model of
this card (so it's still the Hauppauge 350, but model 991 or something
like that). It only started shipping recently, and there have only been
mentions of it on the mailing list during the past month or two. The
ivtv drivers don't set the registers on the card just right, which the
above commands fix."

Subject: [ivtv-devel] PVR 350 color problems
Hey guys, I ran this across the user forums a few times but had no luck
so I thought I would try here. I have tried the ivtv 0.2.x and 0.3.x
series drivers with the stock fedora core 2, 2.6.8 & .9 kernels, as well
as a vanilla 2.6.10 kernel. In every case the input and tv watching on
the monitor is perfect, but when I try and do tv out through the 350
card I always get inverted colors, aka red=blue and vice versa. I have
tried several different versions of the firmware, all with the same
result. I tested the card+tvout under winxp, and it worked fine. Messing
with the hue helped a bit, but it still was not correct. I have tried
all the various tuner configs on the forums, and correctly it seems
passing anything in the modprobe options has no effect. Basically I am
running out of ideas here. I have attached the init code for the driver.
My current setup is FC2, 2.6.10 kernel, vtv-0.2.0-rc3b. Also, the
test_image option results in a prefect test image. The card is a month
old 350.
Thanks!
Mark
