Hey,
I got my NTSC PVR150 (boxed retail) to work with audio+video and able
to tune channels with tuner type 50 and 47. tveeprom module doesnt
understand what my tuner type is for now.
Can someone give some pointers on what they use to watch TV ? I tried
mplayer but it seems to lag behind the stream and changing channels
with ptune makes mplayer unhappy. It slows the frame rate down and the
video is still of the old channel. However the audio is of the new
channel.
The way i fix this is to just press the Up or Right arrow key ('next')
on mplayer and this fixes the problem. I tried the no cache option of
mplayer but no luck.
I haven't tried mythtv, but it wont be any good because i believe it
takes up the entire screen to watch TV.
Xine wont recognize the /dev/video0 video. Complains about a codec
missing (however it plays recorded mpeg videos!)
Please post your experiences with other software for watching TV on
capture cards.
