Thanks for the help.

BTW. I did get ivtv-0.2.0-rc3f compiled, and installed (thanks for the
sugestion on thta), but the bad news is that teh backend has already crashed
again :-(

Given that this _probably_ means thats it not ivtv that's causing my
(frequent) backend crasjes, any sugestions as to the next step in diagnosing
this?
