Hi Greg, I've tried to extract from the 'HcwMakoA.ROM' file. Still get the "ivtvfwextract.pl: Can't open /tmp/ivtvex.xxxxx/hcwpvrp2.sys: No such file or directory". I have no idea why the perl script cannot read/write to or from/to this directory, I'm running as root. Maybe I'll just leave it until tomorrow... cheers, -Morten Greg Woolsey wrote: That's the exact name of the ROM file I needed. Looks like it is just in a subdirectory on the MCE CDs. Try it and see if it works. There is no *.ROM in the root directory, I'm afraid. Trying to extract it produces the same annoying "ivtvfwextract.pl: Can't open /tmp/ivtvex.10082/hcwpvrp2.sys: No such file or directory". I'm using the ivtv-0.3.2d version. I'm beginning to believe there is something fishy with either me or the extraction script... Does anybodey have the firmware already extracted? You can just extract the reccomended firmware from the driver version that is linked to from the Wiki. Along with the HcwMakoA.ROM on the CD, of course. -- Tyler Trafford ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
