Ok, This is where I am now:

- I deleted the tveeprom from the kernel.
- I added cryptographic stuff to the kernel
- modprobe ivtv (no options)

Mar 15 20:44:55 pvr tveeprom: Hauppauge: model = 23559, rev = D391,
serial# = 7787077
Mar 15 20:44:55 pvr tveeprom: tuner = Philips FQ1216AME MK4 (idx = 91,
type = 56)
Mar 15 20:44:55 pvr tveeprom: tuner fmt = PAL(D/K) (eeprom = 0x74, v4l2 =
0x00400e17)
Mar 15 20:44:55 pvr tveeprom: audio_processor = MSP3410D (type = 5)
Mar 15 20:44:55 pvr ivtv: i2c attach [client=tveeprom[0],ok]
Mar 15 20:44:55 pvr ivtv: Tuner Type 56, Tuner formats 0x00400e17, Radio:
yes, Model 0x00913651, Revision 0x00000000
Mar 15 20:44:55 pvr ivtv: PAL tuner detected
Mar 15 20:44:55 pvr ivtv: SECAM tuner detected
Mar 15 20:44:55 pvr ivtv: Radio detected

It detects everything ok now, says I have FQ1216AME Tuner/PAL and all
that. I cut the relevant log part that tells me that, see above.

The cx25840-module doesn't complain anymore about the crypto stuff, so
that's all sorted out. It seems the only thing non functional is the
loading of the ROM firmware.

Mar 15 20:44:55 pvr cx25840: Ignoring new-style parameters in presence of
obsolete ones
Mar 15 20:44:56 pvr cx25840: Unable to open FW file
'/lib/modules/HcwMakoA.ROM'.
Mar 15 20:44:56 pvr cx25840: Failed to load any FW image file

I don't have this file, so I is in it's right to complain. But how do I
get it. My card came without driver-cd and the extractfirware perl-script
dit extract some files from the pvr48wdm_1.8.22037.exe file, but it wasn't
HcwMakoA.ROM, but these two:

ivtv-fw-dec.bin ivtv-fw-enc.bin

Any ideas on how to get/extract the ROM file?
