Background:
I am running FC3 build 770, ivtv 0.3.2q drivers on an Athlon 900 MHz with a Via KT133 (groan).
1) No sound - I get video on /dev/video0 and can change the channel, but I can't get sound. It may be something with ALSA, but I'm starting to think that isn't the problem. I can play MP3 with sound and other video clips without problems. I have type 57 tuners (NTSC).
2) Video on /dev/video1 but can't change the channel - I can get video on /dev/video1 but I can't change the channel. I have tried "ivtvctl -d/dev/video1 -r199250" but that doesn't seem to change the channel.
3) On both /dev/video0 and /dev/video1 I have noise at the top of the screen. From reading previous emails/google searches, it appears this is due to the closed captioning. Is there any way to get rid of this?
4) The stability of the system is OK. I can watch TV using mplayer for quite a while, but it still reboots from time to time. I can't watch LiveTV in MythTV. The image locks up and if I wait long enough the computer will reboot. When I scedule recodings the system doesn't appear to lockup.
5) When sceduling recordings in mythtv, mythtv doesn't appear to change the channel, this may be due to the issue from item 2.
Any help would be appreciated.
