I don't want to intrude here, but, while at it, wouldn't this be an
opportunity to consider some versioning either, like cvs or equivalents,
and a stable and development branch. I know it'd imply an addtional
workload right now, but probably be of some benefit in the future
(I understand this wasn't yet done, if I'm wrong my apologies for
being so hopelessly out of touch).
