Thanks for all the help. I finally got everything working. It turns
out that I just had to remove the aliases in /etc/modprobe.conf to
eeprom and msp3400 and then it could find everything fine. I can't
tell everyone how unbelievable the capabilities of this system and how
appreciative I am of all the work that has been put in to this. Thanks
to everyone
