some ioctl is already implemented in Myth PVR recording, see version 1.46 and
1.51 of the mpegrecorder class:
http://cvs.mythtv.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/mythtv/libs/libmythtv/mpegrecorder.cpp?rev=1.52&view=log

any changes happened in ioctl recently (as from version 0.3.x) ? perhaps we
should update the code in myth accordingly....
