Hi Michiel,

Thanks for your reply. I'm confident that once the board works again, I'll be able to setup the whole thing on FC3. I've managed to get it all working on my home PC with Mandrake before.

What I think I'm facing right now is a fried board. I had the board in my home PC and it was running fine there, see syslog:

Then I took the card to work and put it into the IBM Thinkcentre S machine. I didn't get it to work there, see my last e-mail. I then took the board back home and put it back into my PC. It now doesn't work there either:

I'm quite confident it's got nothing todo with the firmware files, they're still there, untouched:

$ ls -al /lib/modules/ivtv-fw-*
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 262144 May  9 02:24 /lib/modules/ivtv-fw-dec.bin
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 262144 May  9 02:24 /lib/modules/ivtv-fw-enc.bin

$ md5sum /lib/modules/ivtv-fw-*
305dba74bbe5905447add8883f3ecb68  /lib/modules/ivtv-fw-dec.bin
6e2012d919fa48811c27e25e54a0a5dc  /lib/modules/ivtv-fw-enc.bin

I'm wondering if it's possible to do some kind of healthcheck on the board, or to somehow reset it.

Q: Why is the tuner revision changing so often?

I've read some other posts of people that also experienced the "Decoder mailbox not found" error. How did they solve it?

Help is much apreciated.

with kind regards,
