Thanks for your reply.
I tried to (re)load only the modules from ivtv, so no msp3400 or
tveeprom from vanilla kernel. Also I loaded the tuner module with
type=29, like dmesg listed it as. Now I got it working.
I have to say it feels a bit messy with the inconsistency with all the
modules. I used to have an old bt878 card, and whenever I played with
the ivtv drivers the bt878 card just stopped working. I guess there's
too much development going on to keep everything in sync with eachother.
