Hello. I've never posted on a mailing list before, but I'll try to include all the information you may need to help me. I've been following the mythtv how-to on wilsonet.com verbatim, aside from one thing. The "apt-get dist-upgrade" messed up apt and I couldn't figure out how to fix it so I reinstalled Fedora Core 3 and used up2date instead. Here is what I have for hardware (off the top of my head):

AMD Sempron Processor
200 GB Maxtor IDE hard drive
GEForce 4 MX440 64MB
Hauppauge WinTV PVR-250 (OEM)
256 MB RAM
DLINK Wireless G PCI card (DWL-G510 Ver. B1)

So, when I get to the IVTV setup, everything goes fine until I run ptune-ui.pl. I tried every combination of TV standards and inputs I could and I always get the same error. Here's the output from the program:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] bin]# /usr/lib/ivtv/ptune-ui.pl &
[1] 5487
[EMAIL PROTECTED] bin]# Warning: V4l2 driver = 'cx8800' does not support the ivtv "enhancements"!
All codec related options will be ignored.

The how-to also said to include the output from /var/log/messages in this email so here it is:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] bin]# sh ivtv_message.pl
Jul 13 17:21:50 localhost kernel: ivtv: ==================== START INIT IVTV ====================
Jul 13 17:21:50 localhost kernel: ivtv: version 0.2.0 (rc3j) loading

Jul 13 17:21:50 localhost kernel: ivtv: ==================== END INIT IVTV ====================
[EMAIL PROTECTED] bin]#

Can anyone help me resolve this? Thanks a lot.

John Williams
