Using ivtv-0.3.7c I have gotten my PVR-500 and PVR-350
to work together, with TV-out on the PVR-350, using
Xv, and non-Xv (non-Xv would be using /dev/video16 via
MythTV).

However, using Xv (with XDriver 0.10.5) doesn't work
so well. It has a lot of jitter (watching a scrolling
ticker, like on CNN is jerky), and MythTV's
deinterlacing can't fix it. I couldn't test xmame,
since the version I have apparently isn't compiled
with Xv support.

Nonetheless, it's a good start.

Here's what I had in my modprobe.conf to do this:
options saa7127 i2c_enable=1,-1,-1
options cx25840 i2c_enable=-1,1,1
install ivtv /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install ivtv;
/sbin/modprobe ivtv-fb
