Chris,
   ivtv-0.3.7d sees to work on my 2.6.11-gentoo-r9 kernel. I'm using a
PVR-150 under MythTV for the test. However, on the same machine but
running a 2.6.12-gentoo-r6 kernel Live TV plays for 1 second then
locks. Eventually Myth comes back to the main screen.

   Not so good I'm afraid.
