Pete,
Your post got buried in another thread. Could this bitrate issue
cause discrepancies in perceived recording locations in MythTV? I'm
having some issues with recordings that haven't been commercial flagged
when I try to skip forward. A discrepancy in displayed time (Myth's
OSD) and the actual position in the recording builds over time at a rate
of about 5 to 1. So, for example, if I watch for 10 minutes and skip
forward 30 seconds the OSD displays 30 more seconds from where it was
but I actually go backwards in the recording 1 minute and 30 seconds
because a discrepancy of 2 minutes has built up. Occasionally this will
cause lockups. If I set all my bitrates to 10Mb/s would this solve the
problem until someone fixes the driver?

We are using some PVR150 MCEs and we have noticed that the bitrate
of the
output mpeg is way higher than expected. No matter what is set for
bitrate,
bitrate_peak and bitrate_mode we are getting 10Mb/s streams. When we
used
PVR250s we could set the bitrate as required. This is causing
considerable
grief for some STBs.
This happens on all drivers I have tried, in particular, 0.3.2h and
0.3.7c
which I have just tried.
Any ideas?
Cheers
