Can those of you complaining about stuttering playback say what resolution
videos you are playing back (PAL or NTSC).
NTSC here on a 733mhz P3 w/512M PC133 RAM. It hits about 40% CPU usage
with just mplayer running. 80% CPU when I record from PVR 350 to NFS
attached
storage while I'm watching a DVD. Stutter persists regardless of CPU load.
Intel D815EEA2 motherboard with latest BIOS and a 3c905b 3COM NIC is the
only other card on my PCI bus besides my PVR 350. Onboard intel NIC is
disabled
in BIOS.
I believe I have the recommended firmware loaded for my 350 too, but I'm
not sure
as I have yet to figure out how to determine which firmware version I'm
running. I
followed the firmware download/install proceedure in the readme.
ivtv is 0.3.7g. xdriver is 0.10.6. OS is KnoppMyth R5A16 (Debian
Testing, I think).
