Hi, There is a release-0-18-fixes. (consider it a 0.18.1 release) this contains the patch that fixes the black screen after cancelling the EPG in myth.
Sorry I can't be more specific, I have it on my system, but cannot recall exactly where I downloaded it. Must have been from the mythtv repository, so should be easy to find...
