I am trying to run my PVR350 with ivtv for hours now and I need a little
help.
I got the current ivtv, MAKEed and MAKE INSTALLed it. Everythink was
fine. I got the current firmware (HcwWMakroA.ROM, ivtv-fw-enc.bin and
ivtv-fw-dec.din) and put them into "/lib/modules" using the
ivtv-Perl-Script and unzip.
I used the shell-script that can be found in the doc of ivtv to create
entries in /dev/ and I changed /etc/modules.conf so that "char-major-81"
and "char-major-81-0" are present.
When I try to start
"ivtvclt -a"
I get
"failed to open /dev/video0: No such device".
The last few lines in dmesg say

ivtv: requesting ivtv-fw-enc.bin from hotplug
ivtv: firmware load failed
ivtv: failed loding encoder firmware
ivtv: Error loading firmware -3
ivtv: Error -3 initializing firmware
ivtv: Error -12 on initialization.
ivtv: TVC15_16_mpg2_encoder_card: probe 0000:00:09.0 failed with error -12
].
I am using SuSE Linux v10.0.
Any ideas?
